The increases for the three and six months ended June 30, 2026, each compared with the corresponding prior year period, were primarily driven by the inclusion of CureVac operations acquired in late 2025, as well as expenses associated with BioNTech s global initiative on scaling processes and ERP infrastructure to strengthen operational execution.

This was partly offset by cost reductions resulting from the execution of initiatives related to our pipeline prioritization and increased cost discipline.
